The Sch\u00e4flein Group is expanding its network of locations in Mainfranken: the Lower Franconian transport and logistics service provider is developing a multi-user logistics centre in Marktheidenfeld near W\u00fcrzburg and is investing ten million euros in the project. The 15,000 square metre logistics platform is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The planning and design of the new building, half of whose roof surface will be greened, is being carried out by Sch\u00e4flein’s own property project development department. “This allows our customers to incorporate their individual requirements for the new facility during the construction phase. In addition, the coordination channels between those involved in the project are short,” explains Achim Sch\u00e4flein, CEO of the group of companies.<\/p>\n

The new logistics centre will initially be operated for three existing international customers from the automotive, mechanical and plant engineering and packaging sectors. In addition, the new building offers capacity for co-operation with other clients.<\/p>\n

Logistics platform for integrated services<\/h3>\n
