R\u00f6thlein, 19.02.2025 – The Mainfranken region is gaining further logistical strength: the R\u00f6thlein-based family business Sch\u00e4flein is now part of the general cargo cooperation NG.network. In addition to the existing membership in the CargoLine network, the new partnership opens up additional opportunities in general cargo logistics. This will improve the supply of people and companies in the region, and at the same time products from Mainfranken will be transported even more efficiently to markets throughout Germany and Europe.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2018We are rooted in Mainfranken and feel very connected to the region,\u2019 explains Achim Sch\u00e4flein, CEO of Sch\u00e4flein AG. \u2018The collaboration with NG.network is an important step towards networking our home region even better, shortening delivery times and further optimising supply.\u2019<\/p>\n

Who is NG.network?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

NG.network is a general cargo co-operation with Europe-wide connections, in which freight forwarding and logistics companies work closely together to get goods to their destination efficiently and quickly. The network offers many advantages, particularly in the general cargo sector – i.e. for consignments that are transported on pallets or in smaller quantities.<\/p>\n

The close cooperation between the network partners results in shorter transport times, optimised transport capacity utilisation and a comprehensive supply throughout Germany and beyond. As a new regional partner, Sch\u00e4flein takes over the delivery of consignments in Franconia and the surrounding area. At the same time, Sch\u00e4flein transports regional products, including industrial goods, trade products and components from the automotive and mechanical engineering industries, to other parts of Germany and Europe.<\/p>\n

Strong partner in Mainfranken – logistics with tradition <\/strong><\/p>\n

Sch\u00e4flein is a medium-sized family business that can look back on over 85 years of company history. Founded in Mainfranken, Sch\u00e4flein still has strong ties to the region and is an important employer for many local people. Today, more than 2,500 employees work at a total of 35 locations in Germany, Austria and Poland.<\/p>\n

Many people know Sch\u00e4flein from the lorries that are on the roads in the region every day. They ensure that private households, companies and craft businesses are reliably supplied with important goods. At the same time, they transport regionally produced goods to customers throughout Europe – whether automotive components, machine components, food products or consumer goods.<\/p>\n

Sch\u00e4flein has developed continuously since it was founded. What began as a small transport company is now a versatile logistics service provider with a broad portfolio: Transport logistics, general cargo distribution, warehouse logistics and digital solutions are all part of the core business.<\/p>\n

In addition to traditional forwarding services, Sch\u00e4flein is also a leader in the field of contract logistics. Goods for industrial customers, retailers and e-commerce companies are stored, picked and distributed throughout Europe at the warehouse locations in Mainfranken.<\/p>\n

The company also includes the IT company EIKONA AG, which develops digital logistics solutions, sprintBOX GmbH, a provider of reusable logistics, and LOCIT GmbH, which specialises in logistics consulting.<\/p>\n
