With the new 25,000 square metre building, the logistics company will then operate a total of around 300,000 square metres of logistics space.<\/p>\n

Earthworks on the new distribution centre are in full swing. If everything continues to go according to plan, 9,000 square metres of warehouse space will be completed in the first construction phase at the end of this year and around 16,000 square metres in the second construction phase by the end of the first quarter of next year.<\/p>\n

The new distribution centre is designed for multi-users and multi-products and serves as a European hub for various retail companies. Bicycles, e-bikes and accessories as well as tyres for trucks, tractors and other agricultural vehicles will find a logistics platform here, as will plastic, household and garden products, to name just a few examples. “Our customers are aware of the central location of the site and use it as a ‘gateway to Europe’. It also offers an almost perfect symbiosis: logistics and freight forwarding are just a stone’s throw away from each other,” emphasises Achim Sch\u00e4flein, CEO of the Sch\u00e4flein Group.<\/p>\n

Sch\u00e4flein continues to grow in its 80th year of existence, as Achim Sch\u00e4flein explains: “What began in 1939 with three tractor units is now a state-of-the-art logistics company with 1,650 employees at 25 logistics locations in Germany, Austria and Poland.”<\/p>\n
