Eikona AG in Volkach, headed by founder Manuel Drescher, has developed two innovative products that have now been purchased by the Daimler Group. One is the habblAPP, which Eikona has been continuously developing since 2016. The app enables lorry drivers to receive their work orders on their smartphone or directly in the lorry. “With habbl, we are supporting drivers and reducing the number of errors,” reports Manuel Drescher in a press release.<\/p>\n

This is joined by the Conizi platform, on which haulage and transport companies can connect with their clients. This means that they receive the data required to carry out the transport directly electronically, without having to enter it again.<\/p>\n

Daimler has been providing digital support to vehicle owners for almost 20 years. The subsidiary Fleetboard is a pioneer in the field of vehicle telematics and offers solutions for trucks of all brands. Now habbl and conizi are joining forces to make it easier to manage all orders carried out with Fleetboard devices in the future.<\/p>\n

“We are convinced that the digitalisation of logistics will reach the next level, where all partners in the transport chain will be connected,” emphasises Manuel Drescher. He and the development team will continue to drive conizi and habbl forward in Volkach. Their common goal is now to become the European market leader for mobile applications and transport data exchange with the sales power of the new owner. Fleetboard devices are used by more than 7000 companies, for which around 285,000 vehicles of various truck brands are on the road every day.<\/p>\n

It was particularly important to Manuel Drescher to be able to preserve his own identity with the new owner. The team in Volkach will continue to grow. Fleetboard Logistics GmbH is already looking for new software developers here, the press release concludes.<\/p>\n

EIKONA Logistics: Growing with Sch\u00e4flein<\/strong><\/p>\n

EIKONA logistics solutions have their origins in Volkach, the nucleus of the EIKONA Group. In addition to conizi and habbl, other successful start-ups have also emerged from here: EIKONA Media for digital marketing, EIKONA Cinema for fully automated cinema operations, EIKONA Systems for the high-availability operation of IT infrastructures and eology for online marketing with search engine optimisation and advertising. In total, the EIKONA Group employs more than 100 people in Volkach. EIKONA has been working on software for logistics since 2006, when Sch\u00e4flein AG from R\u00f6thlein acquired shares in EIKONA AG. Since then, a friendly relationship has developed between the rapidly growing innovative logistics company under the management of Achim Sch\u00e4flein and EIKONA, which today connects the two companies and their leaders. As a result, many new ideas from EIKONA are tested, improved and brought to market maturity within the Sch\u00e4flein Group.
