Röthlein, 29.04.2025 – Logistics service provider Schäflein has received the prestigious DGNB Gold certification for its Gerolzhofen logistics centre. This award underlines the company’s commitment to sustainable construction and operation
The German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) awards this certification to buildings that fulfil the highest standards in the areas of ecology, economy and socio-cultural quality. Schäflein has proven through innovative construction methods and environmentally friendly technologies that sustainability and efficiency can go hand in hand. ‘We are proud to receive this recognition. It confirms our efforts not only to be economically successful, but also to make a positive contribution to the environment and society,’ says CEO Achim Schäflein.

This certification evaluates buildings and neighbourhoods according to strict ecological, economic and socio-cultural criteria.
Some of the special features of DGNB certification are
1. holistic approach: the DGNB certification takes into account the entire life cycle of a building, from planning and construction through to operation and utilisation
2. high standards: in order to receive certification, projects must fulfil high requirements in various areas, including energy efficiency, resource conservation and user comfort
